Privacy Policy for Climate Futures

Climate Futures is a Centre for Research-based Innovation (abbreviated SFI in Norwegian), funded by the Research Council of Norway, and launched on October 1, 2020. The Climate Futures alliance was formed with a basis in the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research, and the research partners include NORCE, The University of Bergen, the Norwegian School of Economics, the Norwegian Computing Centre, and MET Norway.

The Personal Data Act, which incorporates the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) into Norwegian law in its entirety, contains provisions on the processing of personal data, including collection, information security, who has access and disclosure. All processing of personal data must comply with the basic principles incorporated in Article 5 of the GDPR, including lawfullnes of processing in Article 6, and the conditions in Article 9 for the processing of special categories of personal data.

Newsletter

We use MailChimp as our distribution tool for newsletters. To send you the newsletter, we use the e-mail you have provided. Neither MailChimp nor us will share your e-mail address with others.

Statistics

We use WordPress internal tool for logging statistics of visitors, but this cannot be tracked back to you. The log tracks how many visitors we have, how long the visit lasts, where you came from, and what web browser you have used. This information will not be shared outside of the organisation.

Climate Futures member information

We use Google Sheets to store member informations, name, contact, and partner organization, compliant with GDPR since May 2018. This information is available only to the project office.
